Visual Merchandising Intern 


Star Furniture is hiring for an Intern in our Visual Merchandising department! We are seeking a fast-paced and dedicated Intern to assist our Merchandisers with a variety of tasks at our Corporate office in Houston, TX.


The ideal candidate is detail oriented, customer-service focused, and has experience with AutoCAD and administrative work. This position is a short-term, temporary Internship that will provide you with excellent experience at a leading retailer!

Reports to: Visual Merchandising Manager


Job Functions & Responsibilities:


• Aid in the creation of AutoCAD blocks and AutoCAD drawings

• Complete general administrative tasks for the Visual Merchandising team

• Help in organization of timelines, schedules, and projects

• Communicate and partner with internal teams

• Other duties, as assigned

Skills & Specifications:

• 1+ year experience in a corporate retail office and/or 2+ years of college credits toward a relative degree. (Merchandising, Interior Design, Retail Management, etc.)

• Skilled in AutoCAD

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including: PowerPoint, Word, Excel

• Highly collaborative, able to establish and maintain relationships and displays the ability to work with many personalities

• Excellent time management, multi-task oriented, organized and keen sense of personal accountability.

• Highly motivated with strong work ethic and demonstrates flexibility

• Strong oral and written communication skills
