Description – Interior Designer

Star Furniture is hiring for a talented and fast-paced Interior
Designer to sell and design furniture solutions to our clients at our store
location in Sugar Land, TX. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, customer-service
focused, and has experience furniture sales and interior design in a major
retail environment.

Reports to: Store
Manager, Sales Manager

Functions & Responsibilities:

•         Qualify and evaluate the customer’s needs and budget

•         Problem solve through drawing floor plans, furniture selection,
window treatment, and fabric coordination

•         Introduce Phase planning to expand business, practice relationship
selling, and maintain records for recall last Phase

•         Ask for business and referrals

•         Return calls, follow up with customers and write thank you notes
to potential client to foster and develop new business relationships

•         Adhere to Company Policy, i.e. Prospect System

•         Function as a Sales Associate as well as a Designer

•         Make house calls as needed

Skills &

•         2+ years of experience in a Design role or a retail sales role

•         Knowledge of merchandise and its locations

•         Knowledge of company sales system

•         Ability to communicate and write in English

•         2 years of experience in a retail sales environment, preferably
within a furniture sales environment

•         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

•         Conceptual skills, product knowledge, drafting skills, and
presentation skills
